Chasing the Moon Chapter Two
Feeling the breeze on her face, Mirage laid back on the grass heated by the noon sun. She waited patiently for Aiken to show up, he did this ever year, gave her a time to show up and ended up being late himself. It didn't really bother her much; being by herself gave her time to think things over.
She regretted telling Aiken about her dream yesterday, her desire to leave the town forever. She hadn't ever really given it a lot of thought before, but Aiken could never leave this place. After his father passed on from disease, he was all his mother had left. Even if he wanted to he wouldn't, for his mother would only lose another person she loved, and he couldn't bare that not even for Mirage.
Banging her fist against her head in frustration at her own stupidity, she sighed. With or without Aiken, did Mirage have the courage to follow through on her wish? Up until now it had only been a fleeting daydream, however as the days passed the urge to stand up and run grew fierce. "I k
Chasing the Moon Chapter One
Waking with a start, the young thing quickly realized she had been splashed with cold water and roughly awakened from her dream. She looked around sleepily searching for the cause, and received the answer when she heard a rough voice call out to her.
"Get up! If you don't make yourself useful you'll be sleeping with the wolves!"
The young girl bore the name Mirage and had lived with wake up calls like this since she was small. The mistress of the household, Lady Willow, may strike some as cold and unrelenting, and in some ways she was. However, she also held a soft spot in her heart for children such as Mirage, being as she was once an orphan herself. No one knew for sure why Lady Willow and her husband, who had sworn never to house children, took in the baby girl but they had.
On mornings such as this the Lady often threatened to throw her out but thus far had not followed through on it. Mirage, knowing better then to test Willow's patience, got up quickly and dressed in a

Chasing the Moon
The faint sound of footsteps echoed through the trees. Despite the mist that blanketed the forest path a lone figure ran on. The moonglow shone on her wings, paler then the whitest rose, her eyes like mercury stunning even in their lucid fear. Hearing the resonating voice behind her, she quickened her pace failing to head the warning her raged breath was giving. Hoping to lose her tracker in the depths of the wood, she erased the image of her wings feeling the instant strain on her strength.
The lights ahead gave a glimmer of hope. The sleeping bundle in her arms stirred and she sang to it in a wavering voice.

Her vision began to blur just as she reached the house. Using the last of her strength she phased into the living room and place the precious cargo on a simple makeshift bed. Findin
The tapping came low at first, almost unnoticed, but each time the noise was enhanced until Cassy could no longer concentrate on the manuscripts she had been reading. Storming over to the window she threw it open and in fluttered her sisters owl.
The owl carried with it two things, a book and a piece of cloth. When she removed the book she opened the cover and scanned the title. 'Strange,' she thought, 'I've never heard of this.' Casually, she flipped the pages, realizing that the book was written in Latin and considering she only could read bits and pieces of it, she nearly tossed it aside. That was until something caught her eye.
Chapter 2 "Chance Encounter"
"What the hell is this?" Cassy stared in disbelief. Even though she wasn't fluent in Latin what was there that she could read scared her a little.
She could clearly read names, hers, Sammie's, even Sir Damien, Raphael and Ivy. She flipped father back and found more creatures and beings, some s

'Creepy,' she thought. The next thing she knew she was iutside book in hand. She knew she couldn't carry it around all day, she already could smell rain coming. An idea clicked in her head. Sammie reached into her pocket and pulled out a lute. It was old and every time Sammie used it she was amazed it stayed together. Though she had to admit she had a talent for the same way Cassy had a talent for singing. When they worked together they caused more then a distraction, they caused delusion to any mortal. Though Cassy sometimes scared Sammie they way she would use her voice.
Sammie began to play the intrument quickly. Soon, as expected, a snowy white owl flew down and landed on her shoulder." Hey there, take this to Cass for me will ya?" she told it as she tied a string around thebook and attached it to the owls leg.

Sammie breathed in the fresh air of the village,(well you could call it breathing. She was taking in air but she didn't need it as a nessesity.) It was a small town but it was lively. The people were completely unaware of the battle that had taken place just outsied their homes only a few hours before.'Must be nice,' she thought,' to not have any idea of the creatures and world that exists just beyond their village. what was it Cassy said about them? Ignorance is bliss? Must be true.' She continued walking though the shoops and cafes. The shops were all diiferent, some for clothes, and food, she even came across a book store and decided to go in.

"Ouch!!" Sammie howled when the alcohol touched her skin. Cassy sighed heavily,"You're still young you know, your stil gonna bleed if you get hit you know that. Besides vampire or not I'm not letting you get an infection, how sad would that be?"
"Hey Cass? Why don't you come with me today?"
"No,I don't agree with you going, let alone me. We don't belong in that world now. I just hope you told sir Damien where you were going."
"Don't worry,Cassy, she told me," said the fimiliar voice echoing in her head,"As long as she doesn't get caught it's fine," he reassured her. Reluctantly, Cassy nodded. "Just watch yourself we've got a job at sunset, and I don't want to have to come get you."
"Chill it's not like I'm gonna run through the streets screaming ' I'm a vampire just come and kill me already!'" Sammie laughed as she walked through the door.

Sammie's fair hair nearly became white and the aubern in Cassy's was being replaced by darker browns and blacks, limiting the crimson to the jagged ends of her waist lengh hair. It seemed both girls became entrawled with this new world of theirs and obsessed with revenge against the one who slatered their parents. Damien trained them himself, and knew they could handle anything Rapheal threw at them. However, it also gave him something to fear when they found the truth.
